Starbucks CEO expects 100% of retail workers to earn $15 per hour within next three years

“We’re on the record a number of years earlier, that we supported an increase in federal base pay,” Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson stated relating to the possibility of President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats pressing for a $15 federal minimum wage. “It fundamentally takes approximately a third of our retail, per hour partners to be at or above $15 an hour … Over the next two or three years, we think 100% of our retail work force, per hour labor force, our partners will be at or above $15 an hour.” For access to live and exclusive video from CNBC register for CNBC PRO:
